Sallie’s Story: A Life Designed for Design

When design is ingrained in your soul, there's nothing else you want to do.

From an early age, Sallie knew she was destined to improve the lives of others through design. As a little girl, her father—an expert builder—taught her the art of constructing solid structures, recognizing quality craftsmanship, and appreciating architecture. Her passion for design grew while working in her family's antiques, furniture, and British goods store in Northern Virginia. There, she honed her eye for design and mastered the art of client service—helping families select investment-worthy pieces, choose meaningful art, and frame it beautifully. It was in those moments that her love for home transformation truly began.

Sallie's professional journey took shape as she earned a B.A. in Interior Design from Marymount University. She quickly became the lead designer and store director of a renowned area gallery. In 2009, amidst the challenges of being a single mother, she founded GreyHunt Interiors, a name thoughtfully inspired by her sons, Hunter and Greyson (Grey & Hunt).

Fifteen years later, GreyHunt Interiors has transformed hundreds of homes across the U.S., creating spaces that inspire and comfort. GHI has earned numerous design awards, been featured in elite publications like Southern Living and Architectural Digest, participated in prestigious showhouses, and been showcased at High Point Market. Sallie has also spoken on multiple industry panels alongside esteemed colleagues.
In 2023, she expanded GreyHunt Interiors by opening a new office in Indianapolis, continuing to serve a national clientele while maintaining a strong presence in Virginia.
